Coronavirus Operational Update – June 2020

Much has changed since mid-March when the world seemed to turn upside down in the matter of days. We became accustomed to a new normal and that ‘normal’ often changed week to week. The one constant was the determination of the people in the logistics community to be a part of the solution. We are proud of all of our employees that have continued to help our customers maintain their supply chain under challenging circumstances, particularly our company drivers and our carrier partners who have been on the front lines. #ThankATrucker never meant so much.

Beginning this June, most of our employees have returned to the office on a limited basis, as we rotate shifts to minimize our office population. At the same time, we have added additional afterhours sanitation services to maintain a safe work environment for our employees. I’ve definitely enjoyed reconnecting with employees in person outside of our regular conference calls!

Speaking of employees, we welcomed a new team of logistics sales associates in May and we will start training a new class this month. With our remote onboarding and training capabilities implemented by our HR team, we have been able to continue to grow our team as planned. 

Lastly, this is an unprecedented time in our country in many ways. As a family owned and operated business for more than 28 years, we have weathered some difficult challenges. I can’t tell you what the next month will bring but I do know that I wouldn’t want anyone else besides our team here at Corporate Traffic to get us all through it.
